Sacelli "dimenticati" nell’area urbana di Akragas

2016

International audience; Between 1927 and 1930, Pirro Marconi investigated a small rectangular structure near house Filippazzo, in the central urban area of Akragas. The presence of a bothros and fragments of female figures with stephane suggested the presence of a small sanctuary or themenos for chthonic deities. The little news published by Marconi and the vague indication of location made us forget the existence of this sanctuary for many years. However, a survey carried out in 2016 allowed to identify the remains of Marconi’s structure, partly covered by ground. At the same time, other little-known structures have been identified. In some cases, their function is still unknown.

Le Ninfe nell’arte di Siracusa

2015

Towards a genealogy of the gender space of politics.

2017

The aim of this article is to trace a logical, binary outline of the classical period of western civilisation, from which the gender division of political space has emerged. This gender division has been …

Il dissidio politico in Antigone

2016

Sophoclean Antigone powerfully represents the dicotomy between oikos and polis in ancient Greek. Through this polarization it is possible to mark the women subalternity in classical public space, so that there is a radical conflict between two different vision: Antigone respond to brotherhood, while Creon respond to nomos, that's the tragedy's peak.
